Services
Technical Assistance
EC4D provides Technical Assistance (TA) to the Ministry of Health and specialized partners working on health and humanitarian system strengthening through strategic design and implementation to achieve program impact. We also understand that finding particular subject matter experts on short notice and in specific geographies can be challenging. Therefore, we offer Specialized Consulting services, including the provision of specialized Technical Assistance (TA) aligned with the areas of our focus. We have been consistently working to enrich our Consultants Roster, which currently includes various local and international subject matter experts from around the world
Development of Policy and Process
EC4D supports our Development Partners and the Ministry of Health in developing strategies and principles to achieve their long-term goals. A well-thought-out strategy for a public health and humanitarian supply chain should align with the national strategy for delivering health and emergency care to the general population. This may include considerations related to governance, procurement, finance, technology, human resources, among others.
Capacity Development
The Procurement and Supply Chain Management courses have been developed by subject-matter experts to reflect the best practices in supply chain management. The course content presents real-world knowledge particularly relevant to those working for a development agency or in a ministry of health. The pragmatic, hands-on approach of these courses helps prepare trainees to apply their newly acquired skills in the workplace. Additionally, we provide customized courses tailored to the specific needs of our partners.
Development of eLMIS
EC4D provides support to Development Partners and the Ministry of Health (MoH) to customize an existing open-source application called OpenLMIS. This customization aims to automate processes, reducing manual data entry and hand calculations to record essential data. OpenLMIS is a state-of-the-art, web and mobile-enabled, enterprise-class electronic LMIS solution designed to facilitate the requisition order, issue, receiving, inventory management, and resupply process in low-resource settings for health commodities. It automates the LMIS system throughout the supply chain.
Procurement of Pharma and Non Pharma Products
EcoChain for Development has extensive experience in procuring safe and affordable healthcare products. We support our partners in procuring products from manufacturers based in Asia, with a current focus on India.
Our global procurement experience is bolstered by strategic sourcing and procurement experts based in India. The procurement team plays a vital role in supporting the development of quality manufacturers, enabling us to continuously optimize our quality standards. SC4D always focuses on resource optimization and value for money, charging minimal procurement fees and custom clearance costs.
Last Mile Delivery through 3PL/4PL Services
EC4D has extensive experience in designing 3PL services for Health and Humanitarian support for our customers. We leverage the private sector for the distribution of quality health products to the last mile, thereby increasing product availability and accessibility to vulnerable people. Our expertise lies in hiring 3PL services for the distribution of drugs and diagnostics in a cold chain mechanism, ensuring timely delivery within estimated timelines. We have developed a digital platform for planning distribution, route optimization, shipment tracking, and monitoring distribution performance, applying the OTIF (On-Time In-Full) principle. Additionally, we offer an open-source DDMS that can be utilized for managing distribution in various health programs at the state and country levels.
